Job Summary

Our growing SEO department has an opening for a full-time search engine optimization professional who has some working experience and is now ready to take the next step up in their career with added responsibility, direction, and compensation. In addition, this position will allow this person to work in the city and state of their choice. 

We are looking for a thinker – someone who wants to have input on our approach and contribute unique ideas for each client. This person is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of our SEO services and will report directly to our Director of Search. Responsibilities will include keyword research, content optimization, performance reporting, link building, outreach, and client presentations. The perfect candidate must be able to work with and coordinate developers, copywriters, and other SEO staff, and communicate directly with clients.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Willingness to work within a team for strategy, planning, and client management
  • Ability to independently perform client deliverables including research, report compiling, formatting, templating
  • Ability to write and optimize content
  • Takes a tactical approach to link development, following the guidelines of comprehensive backlink analysis
  • Performs link development outreach, contacting vital targets for Search campaigns
  • Becomes proficient in analytics packages to evaluate vital data for campaign improvement
  • Monitors client search rankings and performs keyword research using industry-standard tools
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies as needed to ensure ongoing competitiveness
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Willing to work on East Coast time regardless where you live
  • Understanding of data and analysis
  • Strong writing, grammar copy editing skills with a focus on tightness and consistency
  • Willingness to do content entry when necessary
  • Willingness to fly to Philadelphia area if elsewhere for annual meetings
  • Discipline to self-manage and juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

Education & Experience

  • At least two years of working experience on an SEO team is required
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four year, accredited college or university with a background in English, Communications, Public Relations, Information Systems, Marketing, or similar field
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required

Bonus Points

  • Strategic social media and/or link building experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with SEO reporting tools strongly preferred
  • Experience with SEM and Paid Search platforms strongly preferred
